The Tree Steward program trains passionate and dedicated volunteers to care for the many trees we plant throughout the Cape Fear region—ensuring they thrive for generations to come.

Are you ready to dig in and make a lasting impact? Through four interactive classes, you'll learn the essentials of tree care, from planting and pruning to mulching and watering, all under the skilled guidance of Bartlett Tree Experts. We ask that Stewards attend at least three of the four sessions.
As a graduated Tree Steward, you'll help lead our planting teams during the fall and winter. During the spring and summer, you'll be out assessing, pruning, mulching, watering, staking, and otherwise caring for a group of trees. To join our dedicated team of Tree Stewards, we ask that you commit to volunteering 4 or more hours each month.
